Breast Cancer Now were the charity partners for Dry January 2017. We're working together to find out more about how much people know about the link between alcohol and breast cancer, and where we can both do more work to help.

Our Marketing and PR Partner - Hitch Marketing

Hitch is a social marketing agency at heart, which means they love nothing more than to deliver behaviour change for social good. 

They deliver this through a mix of robust research, a strategic approach, cutting edge digital solutions and a passion for design. They have supported us to deliver Dry January right from the beginning with everything from strategy to working with Local Authorities to help localise the campaign, and from digital solutions to merchandise. 

What’s more, as an agency with a social conscience, a proportion of their revenue is reinvested into local community social innovation projects – making them the perfect agency to partner with Alcohol Research UK to help us make Dry January successful in 2018.

Our Crowdfunding Partner - Crowdfunder

Crowdfunder built Dry January their very own micro crowdfunding site. This is in place to inspire people to come  forward with creative ways to run dry events in their own communities. It is time to come together and celebrate clean living. Check out our awesome campaign site here.

Our Fundraising Partner - Virgin Money Giving

The partnership opened up the campaign to over 12,000 charities registered with Virgin Money Giving. The new  initiative allowed supporters to fundraise for both their chosen charity and Alcohol Concern, splitting the funds  raised  50/50 between the two charities.

Jo Barnett, Executive Director at Virgin Money Giving said: “Virgin Money Giving is delighted to partner with Alcohol  Concern for their Dry January campaign. It’s great that those who are committing to ditch alcohol for the month of  January can be further motivated by raising funds for Alcohol Concern and any charity of their choice.  “Due to Virgin Money Giving’s not-for-profit status more of the funds raised will go to both charities, hopefully that will  motivate those taking part even more.”

Our Digital Partner - Cyberliver

By working with CyberLiver the Dry January digital app has been re-built to include a number of interactive tools enabling users to maximise the benefits and enjoyment of staying dry in January.

Users can record and review their daily activity using the progress calendar, receive personalised motivational messages, keep track of money and calories saved, and choose to receive articles, news, advice and event updates all in one slick app.

Our Voucher Code Partner - Groupon

The partnership with Groupon meant that participants will receive a weekly discount code throughout the  month of January. These codes can be used in addition to the discounts that Groupon offers on their site  so you can try out some new activities!

Educational Partner - Westminster Business School

Westminster Business SchoolIn collaboration with Westminster Business School at the University of Westminster students and staff are being encouraged to take part in Dry January, as well as advertising internship and crowd-funding opportunities through their student base. This is the first time Dry January has worked in this way with a education establishment.
