Funeral Collections

There are two ways to make a collection at a loved ones funeral.

  1. Ask for donations to be popped in a collection bag at the crematorium. You can either bank the money into your personal account and send in as a cheque or make a bank transfer. Often funeral directors will offer to take care of the collection and passing on the funds to the chosen charity. If you are asking your funeral director to do this form you, please advise them to visit this webpage to get the full details of who to make the donation. When we receive donations from a funeral director we will write a letter receipting the donation directly to the funeral director and also a letter to the family if this information is passed on.
  2. Giving donations online is becoming an increasingly popular choice, it is simple and quick to set up an online fundraising page in memory. Click here to find out more.

Gift aid

Here at Alcohol Concern we work hard to maximise the gift aid we reconcile from the UK Government. When anyone makes a donation to our charity we ask them if they are a UK tax payer and if they are eligible for gift aid. To download a gift aid declaration, please click on the document below. If you would like us to send you a gift aid form and a free post envelope, please email [email protected]

As part of Alcohol Concern's merger with the charity Alcohol Research UK, all donations and funds raised will be going to Alcohol Research UK from 1 April 2017.
