What are the benefits of membership?
Benefits provided free and exclusively to members:
- One copy of quarterly Straight Talk magazine with news and features, including the Acquire pull-out providing analysis and comment on alcohol-related issues [Non-member annual subscription £65]
- One copy of Alcohol Concern publications and Alcohol Concern reports printed during period of membership [Non-member price of AC Leaflets £2.75 each]
- One copy of Alcohol Concern Factsheets [non-member price £2.75 each]
- A quarterly e-mail "Letter to Members" update on current developments at Alcohol Concern including policy proposals and meetings with Government Departments
- E-mail tailored briefings on member's local MP on request
Benefits provided exclusively to members at a discount:
- 10% bulk discount on purchase of Alcohol Concern publications in excess of 100 copies
- 20% discount to Organisation members only for the total cost of conference and event fees where 3 or more bookings are received from the member
In addition all members will receive a copy of our Annual Report
which provides updates on the year's progress for alcohol issues
and Alcohol Concern. All members are invited to attend our Annual
General Meeting, may stand for election as a trustee and vote to choose the trustees.

There are a number of discounts available on Membership Fees:
- The Three Year membership fee is discounted at 20% to the One Year membership fee.
- For organisations with more than one site or branch, we provide Group membership with the lead organisation paying the full rate and each of the other Group organisations paying the full rate less 40% discount. Applicants seeking this discount should apply in writing to Membership Services at Alcohol Concern or e-mail us at membership@alcoholconcern.org.uk
- For all membership applications or renewals, a 10% discount is given on the initial fee for One and Three Year membership if payment is made by direct debit. Please ask Membership Services for a direct debit form.
Fees are inclusive of VAT and apply to all applicants in the UK and overseas.
Applicants should note that membership will not be approved until full payment is received.
How to apply
Membership applicants may complete their details on-line or request a membership form from Membership Services at Alcohol Concern. Applicants should note the conditions for each membership cateogry before proceeding.
Student or Unwaged applicants
If you are applying for our student or unwaged membership, you will need to send copies of supporting evidence of your status to Membership Services at Alcohol Concern such as your student I.D., education correspondence, pension or benefit forms. Your membership application will not be approved until we have received this information.
Individual applicants
If you are applying for Individual membership, you should include you private or home address in your application. We cannot accept Individual Membership applications from organisations.
Organisation applicants
If you are applying for membership in your capacity as a member of staff of your organisation, please select the relevant membership category according to your organisation's total income from the most recent set of financial statements.
