Diary Note: Alcohol Concern Annual Conference
20th October 2005
Diary Note: Alcohol Concern Annual Conference
WHAT? Alcohol Concern Annual Conference
WHEN? Tuesday, 1st November, 2005
WHERE? Glaziers Hall, London Bridge
WHY? 18 months on from the government?s alcohol strategy, we ask:
When 8 million people in the UK are drinking at harmful or hazardous levels, is the government?s alcohol strategy delivering the progress so urgently needed?
And, when every £1 spent on treating problem-drinkers saves £5 elsewhere, is alcohol treatment enough of a priority for government and local communities?
ENDS
