 Putting brief interventions into practice
Despite the evidence of the effectiveness of brief interventions, implementation of brief intervention programmes in primary care remains the exception rather than the general rule. The purpose of this article is to look at 5 screening and brief interventions programmes currently operating in England and looks at the various used and identifies common themes - such as the common difficulties they faced implementing the projects and pointers for success.
