Peer-support briefing

A briefing about peer-support and the need for greater options to be made available to people with an alcohol problem.

Peer-support groups are a common and effective way in which people seek help for alcohol-related problems. This briefing explores what is meant by peer-support, examines the evidence for addiction related peer-support organisations, and discusses ways in which treatment providers and commissioners can support the  development of groups in their area.
