Over 1 in 5 blame peer pressure for drinking too much

A YouGov poll suggests that over one in five (22%) of people who drink more than they planned put it down to peer pressure.

The poll of more than 2,000 English adults also suggests that 39% of drinkers felt the need to make up an excuse or lie to justify refusing a drink.  Read more.
