HubCAPP
The Hub of Commissioned Alcohol Projects and Policies (HubCAPP) is an online resource of local alcohol initiatives throughout England.
HubCAPP focuses on capturing the policies, decisions and strategic history that enabled projects to come into existence.
HubCAPP is an opportunity for alcohol professionals to:
- Promote and highlight their projects and local strategies
- Share practice examples and details about projects in their area
- Learn from others
The Hub highlights not only what projects exist but how they link to local and national strategies and meet government targets and indicators. HubCAPP also outlines how initiatives were commissioned, received funding and why alcohol was prioritised as an issue in the area and what the outcomes have been.

Why types of practice will be identified?
HubCAPP has a focus on identifying and sharing local and regional practice in relation to reducing alcohol harm. We are particularly at providing information on:

- which targeted messages work with which groups
- examples of materials and methods that have demonstrated attitude of behaviour change
- Intervention approaches
- examples of areas implementing the High Impact Changes for Alcohol
- identification and Brief Advice (IBA) examples across Primary Health Care and hospital settings, including Accident and Emergency
- monitoring and data collection methods for IBA currently in pratice
- practice examples of ideal treatment systems (as described in Models of Care for Alcohol Misusers (MoCAM), across all four tiers
- Needs analysis and strategic planning
