  • Women's Aid is the key national charity working to end domestic violence against women and children. 
  • Refuge offers a range of services to women and children experiencing domestic violence.
  • Drinkline is the national, free, information and advice line for people with alcohol problems and anyone concerned about alcohol misuse: 0800 917 8282.
  • Men's Advice Line is a confidential helpline for all men experiencing domestic violence by a current or ex-partner. This includes all men - in heterosexual or same-sex relationships: 0808 801 0327.
  • Broken Rainbow supports lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people experiencing domestic violence. Operates Mon and Thursday 2-8pm and Wednesday 10-1pm only: 08452 604460.
  • ChildLine is the UK's free and confidential, 24-hour helpline for children in distress or danger: 0800 1111.
  • National Domestic Violence Helpline is a free-phone (24 hour) run in partnership between Women's Aid and Refuge: 0808 2000 247.
  • NSPCC 24-hour child protection helpline: 0800 800 500; or email the helpline.
