Options for improving information on the labels of alcoholic drinks

The Department of Health sought to gather views on the direction of regulation on alcohol labelling in light of the poor response from the alcohol industry to voluntary agreements on the issue.

Alcohol Concern contributed to the drafting of a joint response submitted by the Alcohol Health Alliance (AHA).

Alcohol Concern and the AHA fully support the implementation of improved labelling for alcohol through legislation and have outlined priorities for label content as part of the consultation response.
