Eric Appleby - Chief Executive (Interim)

The Information and Communications Team provides information to our members and stakeholders as well as to the public.  The Team is responsible for Alcohol Concern's membership scheme - communicating and liaising with members, producing our members' magazine Straight Talk and our monthly news e-bulletin for members - Straight Talk News.  The team is also responsible for the Alcohol Concern website.

Liz Ainsworth - Membership Development Officer

Media and Public Affairs provides information and comment to the media. Responsible too for our campaign work and supporting Alcohol Concern's parliamentary activities.

Graham Skeggs - Communications, Media & Public Affairs Officer (Temporary)

The Projects Team - aims to build the capacity of the sector, encourage good practice in the field and create and promote better solutions to tackle alcohol problems.

Tom Smith - Youth Policy Co-ordinator

Alcohol Concern Cymru opened its office in Cardiff in August 2009. Alcohol Concern Cymru is focusing on policy and public health in Wales, acting as a champion for alcohol harm reduction. We will bring together key stakeholders, highlight public health concerns in relation to alcohol harm in Wales, and develop recommendations on alcohol policy.

The Consultancy and Training Unit provides a range of services designed and delivered by experts in the field. Consultancy services are available to investigate and advise on measures to tackle alcohol related harm, for example, by supporting PCTs and Local Authorities in carrying out Alcohol Needs Assessments, Local Alcohol Impact Studies and developing Local Alcohol Strategies. A range of training packages are available on topics such as Alcohol Awareness, Brief Interventions and Alcohol and Young People.
